美国议员要求通报疯牛病牛肉召回事件

    食品伙伴网讯  据美国食品安全新闻网消息，针对近期的牛肉召回事件，美国议员DeLauro要求农业部食品安全副部长通报最新事件的进展。

　　近日美国农业部宣布召回4012磅牛肉，因为这些牛肉可能含有疯牛病病毒。截止目前，尚未出现消费者食用问题牛肉后感染的报告。

　　据报道，这些牛肉是在2013年9月至2014年4月间生产和包装，由密苏里州鲁特兰美国肉类公司生产，已经被送到康州 Whole Foods 的配送中心。

　　Rep. Rosa DeLauro （D-CT） has requested a briefing with Acting Under Secretary for Food Safety Brian Ronholm about recalled beef potentially contaminated with Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy （BSE）， also known as mad cow disease.

　　The Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service （FSIS） announced Wednesday that Fruitland American Meat of Jackson, MO, had issued a recall of approximately 4,012 pounds of fresh beef products because the dorsal root ganglia may not have been completely removed, which is not compliant with agency regulations that require their removal in cattle 30 months of age and older.
